Weekend Shenanigans!

Oh hello again, Monday!
Weren't you just here?

I like to believe that the weekends usually fly by because I'm so happy to have Peter back home, and also because I have so many things to get done! We are still knee deep in decorating our townhouse, but no complaints here, I'm loving every second of it!

Friday - Peter got home from being out of town for work, so we celebrated in true Andrea&Peter fashion and went out for wine and Italian food! Next stop - one of our favorite wine bars for 2 glasses of Riesling and some lava cake. Need I say more? Unfortunately, I was too excited to see my man, drink some wine, and eat some delicious foods that I forget to stop and take some pictures. Oops! But I can promise you I looked fashionable, the food was top notch, and the lava cake photo would have made you drool ;-)

Saturday - Peter and I drove up to our townhouse for the day to bring some new furniture/decor additions & such! We've been trying to do the buying and decorating in pieces since I won't be living there right away. This means I've got to try to keep my inner Martha Stewart under control. I'm in love with everything I've picked so far - so I'm glad we're taking our time with it! This weekend we added prints to the kitchen wall, and a little extra seating to our living room! I couldn't be more happy - and I've already got my eyes on some more new things! Here are the two items we added this weekend:
Vintage Vegetable Prints and Mabry Leather Club Chair in Saddle both from Grandin Road
And here is how they actually look in our house...

Still lots to be done but I love how it's all shaping up!

Sunday - Yesterday was all about my amazing Mom! I talked about her a bit in my post on Friday, and that won't be the last time. My older brother came home from New York for the weekend so all four of us could celebrate our incredible Mom! It was a simple and relaxing day - brunch in the morning as a family, some shopping in the afternoon, and lots of down time to spend together. It's become rare anymore that all four of the kids are home at the same time, so my Mom was the happiest! Maybe I'm biased but I think I have the best Mom, and I think she deserves more than 1 day a year to be ALL about her!

Linking up with Sami and Rachel!

  3. We have a really cute authentic place right by us in Reading called Mom Chaffe's Cellarette! However, please tell me you've tried Cafe Fresco in H-burg?
