Wedding Thursday?

Did you all think I was going to skip my first Wedding Wednesday?
Hell to the no. My motto? Better late than never!
But this bride-to-be has a good excuse for missing out - my fiancé (eeek!) had to have hernia repair surgery yesterday so I spent my day taking care of that handsome man of mine. In sickness & in health, right?

Thank you all again SO very much for your sweet words that have been pouring in - you sure know how to make a girl feel pretty damn good about saying yes to marrying the man of my dreams! Does it get any better than that? You all rock.

Since I'm still very newly engaged, there isn't too much to report yet on our planning. We have our first venue visit Friday morning to go check out this estate located in Philadelphia! Fingers crossed!
Everyone keeps asking me what my colors are, what my theme is, etc. etc. and I really don't know how to put it into words. That's where Pinterest comes in - the only place where it's appropriate to envision your wedding before you're even engaged. I obviously love the mansion/estate setting and want to hopefully achieve a vintage - romantic - glamour theme for the day. Here are some things that are inspiring me right now - even if I don't have a date or a venue yet!
It's definitely a work in progress, but no complaints, it's fun work!
What do you think?! Are you getting the vintage/romantic/glamour vibes?

  1. Love it! It took me a few months (long engagement) before we settled on burlap and lace with lavender thrown in for a color. It is coming out nicely. I hope the venue works out, it looks absolutely beautiful!!! Venue visits are so much fun :)

  4. Your idea board? Gorgeous. Your wedding venue? Absolutely gorgeous. I'm so jealous. The dress on your board is a dress I've been drooling over ever since I found it on Pinterest, too bad I'm already married ;). I already told my hubby we will be renewing our vows & I will be getting another dress :). Congrats (again)...wedding planning is the best!!
