fluent in sparkle: Getting back into it...

Hi lovelies!

Well, it's been a while. The end of summer for me was quite difficult, overwhelming, and just plain blahhh so I decided to take some time off from blogging to just focus on myself. For those of you that did not see my last post, I lost my Mom on August 12th. She had been battling breast cancer, for the second time, for the past 8 years. She was the strongest woman I will ever know, and I'm still feeling a huge void in my life without her. Although I know things will never be the same, my family and I are just trying to adjust to this "new normal" and taking each day as it comes.

I want to thank each and every one of you that reached out to me by commenting, sending emails, or shooting me a text. A very special thank you to those of you who shared your own personal stories of losing a loved one to cancer - there is something very comforting in knowing you're not alone in your hatefest of this horrific disease. Like many of you, I hope to be alive to see a cure found.
