Eight !

Today is a very special day to me...
Eight years ago my handsome man asked me to be his girlfriend!

At the time, we were sophomores in high school & probably had no idea what the future would hold for us. I really don't think that either of us could have imagined just how perfect we were for each other - but of course we were young and in love!

Yes, high school Peter had an impressive curly afro.

I know what you're thinking, because we hear it ALL the time - why aren't you married yet?  The truth is we're both just enjoying the moment and looking forward to the future. There is no set timeline for us, there are no rules! Yes, it'll happen - but on our own time and not anyone else's.

We've really been through so much together, and there have been numerous times when I've never been more thankful to have him by my side. I truly believe that there are still great guys out there among the rotten ones, and I know how lucky I am to have snatched one of them up! Single ladies, never settle for anything less than a true gentleman that treats you right and makes you feel loved. There are still some good eggs out there!

So today, I'm spending the day with the man of my dreams!
Can't wait to see what the future has in store for us, and I know that with him by my side, I'm in for quite an adventure!
Thanks for choosing me, P!

Wishing you all the same love and happiness that I feel today!

  1. Happy Anniversary! Your love story is so sweet. I've known my husband since I was nine and we've been together for nine years, married for 3 1/2. People would always ask when we were going to get married, and, you are right. Everything should be done on your own accord, at your own time.
