A Quick Wedding Update!

Truth is, I've been somewhat absent on the blog this week.
It's been an emotionally challenging past few days.
I'll tell you more about that tomorrow.

Until then, how about a quick update in the world of the wedding of Andrea & Peter?

1.) Wedding registries are complete! Peter and I were lucky enough to purchase our first home last year, and since then have purchased many of the essential things we would need. We still decided to create 2 store registries (and a honeymoon registry) for our guest's convenience with just a few things that could come in handy and went into those stores thinking - "we really don't need to ask for much". But the second that little scanner gun hit my hands I was like a kid in a candy store! Anything and everything looked like a necessity in my eyes. Food processor? Of course we need that! Serveware? I think I need like 10 different options for all the dinner parties I'm going to have. Needless to say the registries are still a work in progress and aren't quite ready for prime time, so it's a good thing our guest's won't see them until the save the dates go out with our wedding website. Which brings me to #2....

2.) The wedding website is live! I've been working hard on this one and am finally happy with it! Thanks to a tip from a friend, I used wix.com to create it and splurged for a custom domain - hey, you only get married once, right? I found Wix to be really easy for someone without much experience to work with! Check it out and let me know what you think!

3.) I've got some big meetings with 3 different Philadelphia florists/stylists next week which I'm feeling really hopeful about! Of course it's fun to pick the food, the photographer, the DJ, and all that - but my heart is in the decor and the overall look and feel of the day! I daydream through my Pinterest board and can't wait to create something truly amazing that reflects my vision! Thumbs up to having a groom that wants me to have the day of my dreams and takes a back seat in this aspect of the wedding day!

4.) I got my dress! And boy of boy is it a dream. I was actually sad that I don't get to see if for a little while after placing the order. Without giving anything away, because Peter tends to read this blog, it's not what I initially expected I would end up with, but it made me feel the way I want to feel when I marry my best friend! I actually have butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it.

5.) 292 days to go - thank you to The Knot for keeping me on my toes. I can't believe we're in the 200s now and I'm actually starting to believe it truly is going to fly by like everyone says!

Next week, I'll share some of my current inspiration that I'm swooning over!

Until then, check out this beautiful little piece of our Macy's registry that I've been dreaming about even before we got engaged...

Hello, my precious, in all of your pistachio colored beauty.
