2014 is going to be MY year.

Okay yes, I realize it's the 9th and 2014 is underway - but there's never a bad time to write out some goals for yourself!

I'm not usually one for making one big New Years resolution that I expect myself to keep for an entire year. I feel like that is just setting myself up for disaster if I can't manage to follow through with it. Instead, I thought I would make some smaller "goals" for 2014 that I would like to try and reach at some point this year! Plus, I saw this little questionnaire on LaurenConrad.com and couldn't help but want to put some of these in writing for myself.

Here's to 2014, my best year yet!

A bad habit I’m going to break:
My horrible time management skills.
I'm going to work harder at budgeting my time, using my planner, and staying on track!

Oh and also staying on top of my laundry & not letting it pile up and spill out of my hamper.

A destination I’d like to visit:
My dream destination for as long as I can remember was an overwater hut in Bora Bora - and I'm so excited to experience that in September as newlyweds on our honeymoon!

I’m going to work harder at:
Living in the moment rather than wishing the days away for what's ahead. I'm notorious for this and always saying "I can't wait for..." something in the future.
Yes of course I'm excited to get married in August, but I want to enjoy being engaged and planning our wedding and all the fun that leads up to the big day!

A project I’d like to finish:
Decorating and completely furnishing our townhouse.

A class I’d like to take:
Do marital-prep classes count?
I'd also really want to try out some new workout classes, Barre is at the top of my list!

I’d like to spend more time doing:
I'm with LC on this one - more outdoor activities!
Skiing, hiking, kayaking, and I'd love to try paddle boarding on our honeymoon!

A food I want to eat more of:
Less snacks and more fruits and veggies!

I want to wear more:
Lipstick, sequins, and big chunky statement necklaces!

What are your goals for 2014?
Whatever they may be, make sure that you make this year one for the books!

  1. I filled this out too and put it into my 2014 journal/scrapbook to keep on track with my goals. I was going to do a post about it tomorrow :)
